Ruth Gay is the Senior Director Field Operations, Public Policy Division. In her role she directs the talent, training, strategy development and skill building of Association Public Policy staff across the country. Ruth has 30 years of experience working with families and people with Alzheimer’s, with a focus on Federal and State Policy that can change the way people with Alzheimer's and other Dementia are served. Prior to her current role, Ruth spent 18 years as the Chief Public Policy Officer for the Northern California and Northern Nevada Chapter of the Association and served as the Regional Policy lead for Regions 2 and 3, California, Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii. Prior to her work at the Association, Ruth spent 8 years at the UC Davis Alzheimer's disease Center managing their Clinical Drug Trials. Ruth holds a Master's degree in Community Health and Gerontology from Old Dominion University in Virginia, and she lives in Alameda, California.
