Policy Research Senior Analyst
Public Policy Institute, AARP
Edem Hado is a policy research senior analyst with the AARP Public Policy Institute. She drives the development of innovative policy solutions that address the growing long-term care needs of older adults.
Before joining AARP, Edem was an operations lead with home care agencies developing a technology platform to help direct caregivers more easily manage their duties and diverse roles. Also, in a practicum at MassHealth’s Office of Long-Term Services and Supports, Edem developed a quality measurement tool to evaluate beneficiary experience of care in the MassHealth Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Program. Underpinning Edem’s LTSS work is her passion for the field. Out of that passion comes her personal mission to ensure the delivery of quality LTSS for all older adults, increase support to family caregivers and direct care workers, and expand the role of technology in helping older adults remain in their homes and communities. Edem holds a master’s in public health (MPH) from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in community health and preventive care from Brown University.
